Mike Dion
Mike Dion is a prominent figure in the New Hampshire construction industry, as someone who has worked in the space since the mid 80’s, and as the founder of four successful construction companies through which he has subcontracted for most major general contractors in the area. He has been involved in countless high-profile projects throughout New England. Everything from hospitals and assisted living facilities to retail and multi-family residential.
Mike founded Exterior Designs (1992), an exterior cladding company, Metro Walls (2004), one of the area’s largest commercial framing and drywall companies, Atlantic Prefab (2015), prefabricated commercial construction components company and Patriot Building Systems (2018), a commercial wood framing company. Dion managed nearly 300 employees before deciding, in 2021, to sell Exterior Designs, Atlantic Prefab and Patriot Building Systems to UFP Industries, a publicly traded holding company based in Michigan, for an undisclosed sum. He later sold Metro Walls to its employees to form an employee-owned company in 2022, and continues to serve as chairman.
In recent years, Mike has begun to develop his own projects in Londonderry, Bedford, Laconia and Epping. He and Deane Navaroli have also purchased several commercial propertied together which they continue to own and manage.
Mike has served on the board of the Associated Builders and Contractors of NH/VT for over 10 years, and in 2017 served as board chair. He was also a member of the ABC National Board of Directors in 2018 and 2019.
